• Any industry that imports, manufactures, transports, or stores ISO tanks or pressure vessels used for storing LPG, ammonia, hydrogen, CO₂, or other pressurized gases must obtain a license from PESO. The licensing ensures vessel design approval, safety verification, and operational compliance.

Forms & Application Process

• Design Approval (Rule 33 of SMPV Rules, 2016) – Required for new vessel designs before manufacturing or import
  Issued by: PESO, Nagpur

• License for Use/Storage (SMPV Form AS) – For installation and operation of ISO/pressure vessels at a site
  Issued by: Chief Controller of Explosives, PESO

• Import Permission Application – For importing ISO tanks or pressure vessels from other countries
  Issued by: PESO

• Transport Permission (Rule 47/48) – For mobile pressure vessels carrying hazardous gases
  Issued by: PESO / RTO in coordination with PESO

Processing Time: 30–45 working days
Renewal: Every 1–3 years depending on license type and usage
